Quick and Easy Trifle

1 yellow cake mix (bake as directed)
2 cans fruit cocktail (save some juice)
1 small box jello (shake powder)
2 small boxes instant pudding (make)
cool whip or whipping cream
chopped nuts (optional)

Cut cake into cubes, will need just over ½ the cake. Layer cubes, a little fruit juice, fruit, ½ box jello, ½ pudding. Repeat layers. Top with whipped cream and chopped nuts if desired.
