1/2 cup cooking oil
3/4 cup chopped onion
3/4 cup ketchup
3/4 cup water
1/3 cup lemon juice
3 tbsp sugar
3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp mustard
1 tbsp liquid smoke (optional)
2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
Cook onion in oil until soft. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer 15 minutes. Brown country style pork ribs on rack under broiler. Brown on both sides. This is real important. It gets ride of most of the fat. Place ribs in 9x13. Pour sauce over ribs. Cover with aluminum foil. Bake at 350 for 2 hours or until soft.
