Carmelita

1 cup + 3 tbsp flour
1 cup quick cooking oats
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 tsp salt
½ tsp baking soda
3/4 cup butter, melted and cooled
1 cup chocolate chips
3/4 cup caramel topping

Preheat oven to 350. Mix 1 cup flour, oats, brown sugar, salt, soda, and melted butter. Blend at low speed to form crumbs. Press half of crumbs into bottom of 9x9 pan. Bake 10 minutes. Remove and sprinkle with chocolate chips. In small bowl, blend caramel with 3 tbsps flour and drizzle over ships. Sprinkle remaining crumbs over caramel. Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. Cool and chill covered 1 to 2 hours and cut into bars.
