Cinnamon Sugar Rolls

½ cup sugar
½ cup shortening
1 t salt
5 tsps yeast
1/4 cup warm water
1 T sugar
1 cup scalded milk
3 eggs
4 3/4 cups flour

Combine sugar, shortening and salt. Cream until fluffy. Mix yeast in warm water with sugar until dissolved. Scald milk. Add milk to sugar. Mix until liquid. Mix 3 eggs with a whip. Add yeast to liquid and then eggs. Add 2 3/4 cups flour. Mix until smooth. Add last 2 cups of flour. Stir again until mixed and smooth. Cover with soft butter. Let raise until double. Form balls and place on cookie sheet. Let rise about 1 hour. Brush melted butter on rolls and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar mixture. Bake at 375 for 12-15 minutes.
