2 pkgs. yeast
1 cup scalded milk
3 eggs
1/4 cup warm water with 1 tbsp sugar
½ cup shortening
4 3/4 cups flour
½ cup sugar
1 tsp salt
Combine sugar, shortening and salt. Cream until fluffy. Mix yeast in warm water until dissolved. Scald 1 cup milk. Add milk to sugar. Mix until liquid. Mix 3 eggs with a whip. Add yeast to liquid and then eggs. Add 2 3/4 cups flour. Mix until smooth. Add last 2 cups of flour. Stir again until mixed and smooth. Put dough in middle of a large bowl. Cover with soft butter. Let raise until double. Bake at 375' for 7 minutes.
