2 cup sugar
2/3 cup Karo syrup
1 cup water
flavorings and colorings
Butter a cookie sheet. Put some powdered sugar into a mason jar or a plastic bowl with a lid. Using a wooden spoon, stir over high until boiling. Reduce heat, cover and boil 3 minutes. Remove lid and cook candy until 285'. Remove from heat and add 1 dram of flavoring and 12 drops of coloring. Pour on buttered pan and cool until edges pull back. Cut with scissors (or with a pizza cutter) into pieces. Place in powdered sugar and shake every now and then. Strain off excess powdered sugar and its ready to eat.
