Heavenly Oreo Cookies

1 box devil food cake mix
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup shortening (not oil)

Mix by hand. Roll in balls the size of large gumballs. Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes. Use cream cheese frosting or melted mint chips for yummy center.
